The highlight is a visit to World Heritage Site - the Brihadeswara Temple at Thanjavur. Continue North to Puducherry renowned for its scenic beaches & Auroville. End your visit at Chennai, not before completing a visit to the World Heritage Stone Sculptures at Mahabalipuram.

Day 1: Hyderabad :

  • Arrive Hyderabad, transfer to Taj Deccan or similar. Afternoon free. Evening depart at 5.30 pm for tour & pre-set dinner at Taj Falaknuma Palace (optional). Overnight at hotel. 

Day 2: Hyderabad 

  • City tour of Hyderabad with visit to Charminar - The Charminar is a beautiful monument and mosque in Hyderabad, India, sculpted in 1591 AD and is a center of attraction in Hyderabad. Later, visit Golconda Fort - The fort was originally built by Kakatiya ruler Pratāparudra in the 11th century out of mud walls followed by visit to Qutub Shahi Tombs. Nizam's Museum or H.E.H Nizam's Museum is a museum located in Hyderabad at Purani Haveli, a palace of the erstwhile Nizams. Overnight at hotel. 

Day 3 : Madurai 

  • Proceed to airport at 1130. Board Indigo flight to Madurai at 1430 hrs., arrive at 1600 hrs. Transfer to Heritage Madurai. Overnight at hotel.

Day 4 : Madurai 

  • Morning visit Meenakshi Temple Arulmigu Meenakshi Sundareswaran Temple is a historic Hindu temple located on the southern bank of the Vaigai River in the temple city. There are five massive gateways enclosing these two shrines. Later visit Gandhi Museum (1959) It is dedicated to the life and works of Mahatma Gandhi and is housed in the place where he stayed during his visits to Madurai. Your final stop is Tirumala Nayak Palace About 1.5 Kms from the Meenakshi temple, this palace was built in 1636 by the ruler whose name it bears.  Dinner & overnight at hotel.

Day 5: Chettinad

  •  Transfer by car to Chettinad. Traveling time - 2 hours. Transfer to Chidambara Palace or similar. Afternoon site visit of the Palace with Palace Staff. Overnight at resort. 

Day 6: Chetinad: 

  • Morning tour of Chetinad, visit the Chettinad Palace & Mansion. An outstanding example of the Chettinad architecture, the Chettinad Palace of Sivaganga dates back to the year 1912. Visit Athmanathaswamy Temple -Tirupperunthurai (also called the Athmanathaswamy temple) is located in Avudaiyarkoil village, near Aranthangi in the Pudukkottai district of Tamil Nadu. Return to hotel. Dinner at hotel. 

Day 7: Pondicherry 

  • Depart after breakfast at 08.15 am by Tempo Traveler for Thanjavur (traveling time 2.30 hours) where you visit the World Heritage Monument - Brihadeshwara Temple. Brihadishvara Temple in Thanjavur was constructed under the ruler Rajaraja I and completed in 1010.  At a height of more than 200 feet (60 m), the main shrine of the temple is the highest pyramidal shrine tower in south India. The Brihadishvara temple was designated a World Heritage site in 1987. Its soaring pyramidal shrine, heavy doorways, and early paintings make it a masterpiece of Chola art and architecture. (Time at site - 75-90 minutes) Drive to Pondicherry (traveling time 4.30 hours). Rest room & light snack stop en-route). Transfer to Hotel Le Pondy or similar. Overnight at hotel 

Day 8: Pondicherry: 

  • Morning free to explore beach & swimming pool. Rest of day free. Overnight at hotel. 

Day 9 : Pondicherry: 

  • Morning city tour - visit Aurobindo Ashram,The Sri Aurobindo Ashram is a spiritual community located in Pondicherry, in the Indian territory of Puducherry. Visit Ganesh Temple the Manakula Vinayagar Temple, in Puducherry, is a grand and beautiful temple, dedicated to the Hindu lord Ganesha. Sacred Heart Church - Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, situated on the south boulevard of Pondicherry in Puducherry, India, is an oriental specimen of Gothic Revival architecture. Walk along the French Quarter. Afternoon visit Auroville (traveling time - 45 minutes). It was founded in 1968 by Mirra Alfassa and designed by architect Roger Anger. Return to Le Pondy, late evening. Overnight at hotel. 

Day 10 : Chennai: 

  • Depart for Chennai via Mahabalipuram. Later visit Arjunas Penance at Mahabalipuram followed by visit to the complex containing the Five Rathas - Chariots & Shore Temple. Arrive Chennai late evening. Transfer to Radisson Blu GRT Chennai or similar. Overnight at hotel.

Day 11 : Chennai 

  • Sightseeing after breakfast. Visit San Thome Cathedral- , San Thome Church, The present structure dates to 1523 AD, when it was rebuilt by the Portuguese over the tomb of Thomas the Apostle. Later visit Marina Beach, Kapaleeshwar Temple & Parthasarathy Temple. Overnight at hotel. 

Day 12 : Morning free. 

  • Check out of hotel at 1200 noon for shopping for souvenirs, artefacts & textiles. Depart for airport to board flight to onward destination.
