Day 1: Arrival at Poovar

Day 2: Padmanabhapuram Palace & Kanyakumari Day Trip

  • Morning: After breakfast, start with a visit to Padmanabhapuram Palace. This 16th-century palace is known for its intricate wooden architecture and is about an hour's drive from Poovar. Highlights: See the unique murals, detailed woodwork, and artifacts that reflect Kerala's royal heritage. Afternoon: Continue to Kanyakumari (approx. 1.5-hour drive from Padmanabhapuram). Enjoy iconic sites like: Vivekananda Rock Memorial: Reachable by a short ferry ride, this memorial offers panoramic sea views. Thiruvalluvar Statue: A towering statue of the famous Tamil poet. Day 4: Drive to Alleppey (Punamada area)

  • Morning: Check out from Poovar and start your journey to Alleppey (approx. 3.5-4 hours drive). Afternoon: Arrive in Alleppey and check in to your accommodation in the Punamada area, known for its scenic backwaters. Evening: Enjoy a walk along the Alleppey Beach or explore local shops and cafés. Overnight: Stay in Alleppey.

Day 5: Alleppey Backwaters Boat Ride

  • Morning: After breakfast, enjoy a 2-hour boat ride on the Alleppey backwaters (payment on-site). Day 6: Drive to Kochi & Departure
